Going all the way back to 1950 in Piraeus, as a family business producing dragées, we laid the foundations for our vision to provide high-quality and authentic-tasting sugar dragées to the Greek market.
During our course over all these year, Dragées Hatziyiannakis managed to conquer the top of the Greek market thanks to its dedication to high quality and its love for the art of dragée-making. Today, tradition meets innovation through our products, resulting in over 70 years of branded Greek sugar dragées and sweet delights that have been loved and appreciated worldwide.
1950
Establishment of the dragees production company by Nikolaos Hatziyiannakis, in Piraeus.
1991
Constitution of Dragees Hatziyiannakis S.A. with its own facilities and modern production unit.
1995
Establishment of the Dragees Hatziyiannakis S.A. branch in Thessaloniki operating as the logistics center in North Greece.
2004
The company pioneers producing the first ever sugar dragees with chocolate filling for the greek market.
2006
Beginning the production of chocolate products at the owned branch at Kalohori, Thessaloniki.
2007
The company receives the first local prize for “Business Excellence” and also the first international taste prize for Choco Almond by the iTQi.
2010
The innovated Pebbles range is launched enjoying great success.
2011
Prize of “Committed to Excellence – Commitment to Business Excellence ” by the International Program of EFQM “Levels of Excellence”.
2012
Packaging renewal for all Hatziyiannakis’ variants, with local and international awards.
2013
Crispy Dragees range with cereals filling at the center is launched and changes the status of the sugar dragees related to baptism.
2015
Creation of the new owned offices and modern warehouse at Piraeus.
2018
Launch of the chocolate range Choco Bits, with gourmet candies for the supermarket channel.
2020
The innovative packaging Sweet & Safe is launched.
2023
Gold award for the category “Loyalty to Tradition” by Food Exports Awards.
2024
The new modern production unit with the latest technology starts its operation at Polidendri, Attica.
